This AF-S lens was released as Nikon's first 300mm F4 with the ultrasonic wave motor and it's extremely sharp. The bokeh can get a little hard depending on the background or the distance to it. But, as long as you keep that in mind, you can enjoy the large and beautiful bokeh in most situations.

It's very sharp to the corners and even defined the wispy rust clearly.

The color reproduction is wonderful and the front bokeh is nice. And, this image quality is maintained in all distance.

Look at the 100% crop of the wings, four turbine engines, and the nose. The sharpness is beyond description.

Shot like a macro. It minutely resolved the shape of the metal parts as well as the scratches.
