This zoom lens covers the range from wide through short telephoto. Although Fujifilm had only single focal lenses in their X series, but now they added a zoom lens! The advantage of mirrorless cameras is the compact size, and a zoom lens makes them even more convenient. This convenience is hard to ignore even though we know the high performance of single focal lenses. Plus, the F2.8 maximum aperture at wide-end and the OIS with an efficiency of up to 4 f-stops make this lens a powerful everyday lens.

I raised ISO a little and shot handheld. The magic hours after the sunset create perfect tonality. This lens captured such subtle tonal difference without fail.

A morning glow. Even though lighting and colors were changing rapidly, I didn't lose the shutter chance because I could fine-adjust the angle of view with this zoom lens.

It's extremely sharp for a zoom lens and bokeh is great, too.
