dp0 Quattro SHOOTING REPORT 01 | dp0 Quattro SHOOTING REPORT 02
This is the second shooting report on the SIGMA dp0 Quattro. Because it's been a while since it was released, there're some people who have already experienced the unique worldview of this camera and I'm one of them. I have been shooting it days and nights to see what I can do with just the 21mm equivalent lens. You can learn about the details of the camera in our first shooting report and I put as many shots as possible for this second report. I hope you will enjoy the extraordinary high resolution and its expressive power.

Testing high sensitivity performance at ISO 640. It's slightly noisy for ISO640, but good enough. I'm happy that we can now enjoy the SIGMA's high image quality even in the night scenes, and this is a great advancement achieved with the Quattro series.
My past impression of SIGMA's cameras was that "they take ultra-high quality images if they hit the bull's eye." In other words, they weres resistive house because they were superior in certain situations while they were hard to use in other situations. However, the dp0 Quattro is easy to handle even though it features zero distortion and ultra-high resolution. I believe this is the result of SIGMA's sincere desire and untiring effort to create a camera that takes excellent images. The same goes for the design. As I shoot more, I realized that it's never eccentric, but necessary to produce high quality images. The position of the dials and their operability are so well thought out, and they feel great in the hand. I believe that the size of the camera is just right, too. The image quality is simply outstanding as you have seen. Every time I reviewed the images, I was amazed at its realistic and sharp rendition (so sharp that I felt I didn't need to stop down). The dynamic range is so wide that it can even discriminate the deepest black from the deep black while the highlight has rich gradation. Just by making minor adjustments when developing from the RAW data, I could get the minute rendition. And, by using this camera for about a month, I realized that there's a world that only this camera can draw. The dp0 Quattro is a camera like no other and it shows the direction that SIGMA is heading in for their future.
