As the name changed from smc to HD, the smc DA Limited series for K-mount has been updated with the new HD coating and the rounded diaphragms. While the pancake appearance and the lens construction haven't changed, the color of the ring changed from green to red. The image is quality is extremely sharp in the center and become sharp to the corners at F4. The contrast is just perfect and the color reproduction is rich.

The 20cm minimum focus distance is convenient for table photography. Just like other DA Limited lenses, the color reproduction is great. The AF operates briskly without hunting and it's very accurate.

Another shot wide open. The resolution is very high in the center and it becomes softer to the corners. And, in this shot, this character worked to express the chaos of these shoes.

The colors are deep and dense. The boy's red down is good accent on this shot.

The image quality isn't affected by the strong sunshine and reflection. The highlight maintains a good tonal range.

When pan-focused, it resolves perfectly to the corners.
