Amazing sharpness to the corners, rich color, and rich tonality. The Distagon will attract wide angle shooters. The size is compact enough for this performance and fits perfectly with the NEX-5N. The focal length is 18mm in 35mm equivalent and captures the world thoroughly. This high performance lens allows a simple shooting - you just shoot when you are moved.

  • I shot this because I was impressed by the vivid color of the umbrella in the valley of apartment complex. This perspective is only available by an ultra wide angle lens.

  • Don't you feel good if straight lines are captured as straight lines. Plus, it's razor sharp across the frame. No wonder why it carries the name "the Distagon".

  • This is a very sexy lens, I would say. The lighting was limited, but I could use a slow shutter with this wide angle lens.

  • Another shot with a limited lighting. Shot wide open, but no problem! The color is rich, the contrast is nice, and it's sharp across the frame. Great job, Zeiss!

  • Use wide open with no worries. Because the NEX cameras are great performers at higher ISO, you can also take night street shots.

  • It's so sharp that it captures each hair. This cat never tried to run away, so it was easy to get this shot. But don't even try to imagine how the photographer looked to take this shot!

  • At the famous crossing before sunset. With the help of a little vignetting, I could achieve this dramatic shot. Vignetting gives us another pleasure in photography, doesn't it?

  • The poles look very solid before the wall art, don't they?

  • Breathtaking gradation like a slide film shows the photographers' emotions directly to the viewers.

  • Wanna take a scene like this? With an ultra wide lens, you can do it.
