The AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G has ultrasonic motor for quick and quiet autofocusing. It's slower than f1.4 by half steps, but it allows margin in design. Actually, it's very sharp wide open and the overall image quality is excellent. And, because it has more focal depth than f1.4, it's easier to focus manually. This compact lens weighs only 185g and the reasonable price setting makes it a great choice for the first prime lens and saves money for other equipment.

The back bokeh is natural except for the noisy point light sources. But, it worked to emphasize the cute face. The nuance of hairs and the texture of the clothes look natural.。

The resolution is high enough to capture the stone's texture minutely. The bokeh taste changes according to the distance and light.
