The concept of Fujifilm's X series was apparent by the fact they released single focal lenses first. This 53mm (in 35mm equiv.) is the core lens of the lineup and it indeed is an excellent lens. While the peak focus area is depicted with tack sharpness, bokeh is smooth and creamy. So, it can isolate subjects from background. Also, the large aperture allows us to shoot in a variety of situations even in the dark.

I shot after the sunset, but it captured the dim light. Despite the flat tonality, the depiction has the 3D plasticity.

I stopped down a little to shoot the white flower in the green grass, and it looks very realistic.

It faithfully captured the different textures of the iron door, the bricks, and the yellow flowers.

How do you like this bokeh? I can say this is the top appeal of this lens.

A large aperture lens can emphasize the subject by isolating it from background. I had no problem shooting in this dark situation.
